Students studying construction industry related courses in stage 1 receive training in the basic principles of 2D projection drawing, the use of AutoCAD to create these drawings and possibly foundation work in 3D modelling.

If a CAD module is studied in stage 2, 3D modelling techniques are developed.  Emphasis is placed on visualising and presenting designs using CAD and web based media.  Interactive CAD media technologies are also introduced and practised.

Stage 3 CAD students develop their skills in creating appropriate Virtual Reality models of construction projects or processes.

Successful viewing of some of the video and interactive media presented here may require a reasonably fast internet connection.
